Citizens’ Benghazi Accountability Commission to hold inaugural meeting today

The Benghazi Accountability Commission (BAC), a “citizens group of individuals and organizations dedicated to restoring the sacred trust between the United States government and the American people, especially including those sent abroad to serve in harm’s way,” is holding its inaugural meeting in Washington D.C. at the Heritage Foundation this afternoon.
According to a post at National Review by former top federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, author of the recently released “Faithless Execution: Building the Political Case for Obama’s Impeachment,” today’s meeting, titled “Benghazi: The Difference It Makes Is Accountability!” will provide
“tremendous insights into the relevant issues about the Benghazi Massacre on September 11, 2012, the security failures that led to it, the events of that night, the Obama administration’s “Blame the Video” fraud in the aftermath, the difficulties Congress and the public have faced in getting answers regarding what happened, and the challenges that will face Chairman Trey Gowdy’s House Select Committee that is commencing a full investigation.”

The agenda for the event indicates that it will be broken into three panels, titled, “Unanswered Questions, Unaccountable Officials, Broken Trust,” “What Did the President Know, and When Did He Know It, and What Did He Do About It?” and “Challenges for the Gowdy Select Committee on Benghazi.”
In addition to being chaired by Andrew McCarthy, other notable members of the BAC include Ty Woods’ father Charles Woods, Sean Smith’s Uncle Michael Ingmire, General Jerry Boykin, Lt. Col. Allen West and ex-Secret Service officer and Congressional candidate Dan Bongino, author of “Life Inside the Bubble.”
The Commission will
“stand ready to monitor the political arena for inaccuracies, propaganda, and spin and will move aggressively to correct the record as appropriate. Our ultimate objective is to see justice served, trust in our leaders re-established, and America’s stature and credibility in the world renewed.”
The event, scheduled from 1:00PM – 5:00PM EST can be viewed online here.
