NBC’s Richard Engel, reporting from Gaza, said that only two hours after Israel and Palestine agreed to a humanitarian cease-fire, Hamas fired three mortal shells into Israel.
“There was supposed to be this humanitarian pause in the fighting for about five hours to allow supplies to come into the city, to allow Gazans to go out, to inspect their homes, to take money from the bank.”
“There are now numerous reports that a permanent cease-fire is being worked out, that a permanent deal that could end this conflict or end at least this phase of the conflict, could be in the works, could come into effect as early as 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, Gaza time,” Engel said.
As the rocket fire continues, an app now allows English speakers to keep track of the rockets in real-time. The Washington Free Beacon reported how the Hebrew version of this app, which has existed for some time in order to warn Israeli citizens of rocket fire, was converted into English.
