CBS Ignores Own Poll on Obama’s Foreign Policy Approval Hitting Record Low

CBS conveniently avoided to mention the latest New York Times/CBS News poll, which found a majority of Americans disapprove of the way President Obama has handled the United States’ foreign policy.
Instead, CBS This Morning discussed which types of strikes in Iraq Americans would approve of.
According to the poll, dissatisfaction with the president’s handling of foreign policy has risen among both Democrats and Republicans in recent months. The poll, which surveyed 1,009 Americans over the phone last weekend, found that 58 percent of Americans disapprove of the way Obama has conducted foreign policy, the highest disapproval rating for his approach to foreign policy since he took office in 2009.
But the most alarming number in the poll may be that 52 percent of Americans disapprove of Obama’s handling of the violence in Iraq, including disapproval from a third of Democrats.
The president’s overall approval rating is now just 40 percent, according to this poll.
